OnePlus - The smartphone who used to be the super star in the tech community lost its shine over the course of last few years. OnePlus is used to be a flagship killer and had a massive community of loyal users. OnePlus used to be a community driven smartphone company as it listened to it's customers and adopted their requests. But over the year they just gave up and became corporate oriented smartphone brand much like other. It is a huge downfall and lost so many of its loyal fanbase.
The one reason OnePlus had this loyal fan base is because of the Oxygen OS. You might disagree with me but I used to love OnePlus just because of the Oxygen OS. But their decision to dump Oxygen OS for colour OS is just ridiculously stupid. OnePlus losing Oxygen OS is like Apple losing Apple Logo. As a result OnePlus lost the enthusiastic crazy fans it used to have, few years back if u make a negative command about OnePlus in social media, the OnePlus enthusiasts will flock you and destroy your comment. But now they just don't care.
If u are an longtime OnePlus user you'd know OnePlus devices used to get software updates and fixes regularly and promptly in time. But it changed and now updates are coming so late .
OnePlus became a bigger brand only because it listened to it's enthusiastic users, but as they grew as a huge company they decided to ignore the loyal OnePlus enthusiasts and go on a more corporate approach , as a result now OnePlus is in a huge downfall.
No OnePlus enthusiasts wanted slapping Hasselblad logo on the camera but they did it anyway.
No OnePlus users wanted to drop Oxygen OS for colour OS, but they did it anyway
Decided to move into premium price segment and as a result other smartphone brands like Realme, Xiaomi, Poco and Asus captured the price band OnePlus used to reign.
No one wants to buy a oppo phone branded as OnePlus anymore.
I don't understand why OnePlus took some decisions, are they want to just destroy the OnePlus brand and merge completely into oppo?
And for some reason, OnePlus 10 series which was launched in China on January 11, 2022 is coming to global market only On March 31. Why this much time gap ?
Why killing Oxygen OS, when it was the major attraction for your smartphone?
Why giving up "Flagship killer" and "Never settle" slogans? Why forgot the sole reason u existed?
What do you think about OnePlus guys? I'm excited for your comments
