On December 18 of 2020 Nokia launched its Nokia 2.3 Smartphone in India. The Nokia 2.3 is priced at Rs.8199 for the only 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant and the sales will be starting from December 27. lets have a closer look at this device and what it will be offering for the asking price of Rs.8199. Nokia 2.3 will be available in Cyan Green,Charcoal and a sand color option
Nokia 2.3 Specifications.
Display:
On the display front Nokia 2.3 features a 6.2 inch HD+ in-CELL display panel with a resolution of 710 x 1520 pixels and a aspect ratio of 19:9. There is nothing much to talk about the display here. but it seems like supports always on display feature and also it features a watr drop notch.
Internal specifications:
Nokia 2.3 is powered by a Quad core 12nm Mediatek MT6761 Helio A22 chip set clocked at 2 GHz and the GPU is PowerVR GE8320. And Nokia 2.3 comes with a 2 GB RAM and a 32 GB on board storage which is a huge bummer. seriously 2 GB of RAM in 2019 for 8199. Even the Redmi 8 offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage for 200 Rs. less.
Camera:
Its a entry level smartphone so you cant expect much in a camera department. Nokia 2.3 got a dual rear camera setup at back with a 13 MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a secondary 2 MP depth sesor and on the front side Nokia 2.3 got a 5 MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture
Battery:
when it comes to battery Nokia 2.3 sports a 4000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery. We could say the battery life will be super good because the processor is energy efficient and it have to power only a 720P display. Nokia officially claims for Upto 2 days of battery life. but we all know battery claims are differes from users to users and according to the usage scenario. worth noting that only a 5W charger will be included in the box.
Build:
To be honest with you , the only thing which is appealing to me is the built of this phone. I personally like blockish phones like Apple's iphone 4 and Razer phone 1 and 2. in that way i like the Nokia 2.3 . The body of Nokia 2.3 is Not metal, its actually a polymer body with 3D nano texture and thus it'll offer better grip.And there is also a dedicated button for waking Google Assistant.
Others:
Nokia is offering a 1 year replacement guarantee if you buy this phone before March 31 of 2020.which is great and none of the other players in the market are dare enough to offer such guarantees. And like any other Nokia Smartphones Nokia 2.3 is also a Android One smartphone so they also promise a Software support and updates for 3 years.
Personally this device have a lot of downsides like a Micro USB port, 720p display and a underwhelming processor. will you buy this one?
